Sadiq, an experienced Strategist and Project Management Professional with over fifteen years working experience covering Strategic Business Management, Scenario Planning, Feasibility Studies, Project & Portfolio Management, Risk Management and Contract Administration has contributed immensely in achieving the strategic objectives of KEDCO towards meeting expectations of all relevant stakeholders. Prior to joining KEDCO, he worked in several Consultancy and Construction Projects across the country in various capacities as Project Engineer, Civil Engineer and Project Consultant in reputable companies like Dantata & Sawoe Construction Company, TRIACTA Engineering Ltd and Baba Consult & Engineering Services Ltd.

He later worked at Cresthill Engineering Ltd as a Project Civil Engineer, Project Manager and later as a Partner responsible for managing the successful completion of a number of Feasibility Studies and Consultancy Services relating to Greenfield Railway development projects.

Sadiq joined Kano Electricity Distribution in 2014 as Head Research Development & Project Management and had risen to the position of Chief Strategy Officer of the company in November 2021.

Engr. Hussaini Sadiq is graduate of BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from ABU Zaria and holds an MSc Project Management from Middlesex University London.

Sadiq also attended a number of executive programmes including, Strategic Business Management Course at Harvard University Cambridge Massachusetts USA, Strategic Foresight Workshop offered by School of International Futures (Soif) UK, National Scenario Planning & Strategic Thinking Programme at National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos and International Best Practice in Power Distribution at TATA Power Delhi Distribution in Delhi India among others.

Presently as the Chief Strategy Officer of KEDCO, he supports the MD/CEO in overseeing corporate governance and strategic direction requirements of the company particularly leading in research initiatives, evaluating industry trends and data-driven insights/analysis towards developing growth strategies needed in satisfying customer expectations and achieving overall corporate goal of the organisation based on agreed key performance indices.
