About usKEDCO is one of the eleven Distribution companies privatised by the Federal Government of Nigeria as part of the electricity power reform program implementation. The company is in the North-western geographical zone of Nigeria. The company has licence to generate, distribute and market electricity in three states of Kano, Jigawa and Katsina.
Geographical coverage of the company is 67,128km2, the company has the largest potential in terms of customer population with combined population of the three states, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa.
As at today, the company discharges its functions of distributing and marketing of electricity through ten Regional Offices located across the three states. And its corporate headquarters, which is in Kano, houses six (6) departments: Finance, Technical, Commercial, Corporate Services, Strategic Planning &Regulatory Compliance, and ICT. These departments directly oversee twenty- nine (29) units for day-to-day running of the organisation.
